IMPACT OF ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN ALBANIA

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to present the economic and environmental policies of Albania, the approaches and studies that should be undertaken and implemented to scientifically guide the processes that lead to the long-term sustainable development of Albania, in the next decades of the XXI century In order to achieve this objective, some of the main factors that enable the achievement of the harmonization of economic activities with the preservation of natural resources have been defined. This study shows that for more than half a century the development of Albania was unstable. It is imperative that the use of natural resources is consistent with the speed of their regeneration and an integral part of the sustainable development strategy, as one of the main guarantees for long-term sustainable development and higher well-being. for the inhabitants of Albania.
